Help us deliver hope and support across Africa

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We, at Dandelion Missions, hope you will join our efforts.
We hope you will read through this material and decide to help us:
(*PLUS TONS OF PHOTOS AT THE END)
  • provide Education Forums in each region we visit
  • present “The Gainful Conference” in every country we visit
  • establish Food Banks with every partner church and ministry
  • present special individuals in each country we visit with loving gifts sent/paid for by our supporters (Like the “Buy-One-Give-One prayer necklace”, the Sponsored Love Song from Canada to Africa, special support for individual churches/ministries, etc.)
  • and thus support and sustain our ministry so we can continue to go and minister to these precious people… and continue steadily developing these systems and structures to improve their individual lives, and their entire communities.

Meet our leader: yep… she wears a few different hats:

Evangelist Nicole Barron:

In addition to being the Founder of Dandelion Missions where I coordinate and bring teams of people on short-term mission trips to third-world nations, I am also the International Liaison for REACH International, a wonderful, volunteer-based registered Canadian child-sponsorship charity. I am also an international recruitment agent for St Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology, a fantastic Canadian college based in Windsor, Ontario, with satellite campuses in Toronto and Chatham, Ontario.

I am a fierce supporter of community, ministry and charity work and have worked to launch and set up many people’s ministries and fundraisers. I am also a ministerrecording artistwife and mom of 4 grown kids! My husband and I love and faithfully attend and support our wonderful home church, Kingsville Community Church, led by our awesome lead pastor, Pastor Tom Harmon. It is from this solid foundation, and loving covering, that I can carry on with the work that I do.

With Dandelion Missions I am working to bring meaningful help and change to communities in Africa and South Asia, and anywhere else God sends me to.

Places I have ministered in: Pakistan, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, France, USA, and of course, in Canada; and remotely to Democratic Republic of Congo.

Places our teams are visiting this year: Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Uganda
We have 12 churches and ministries that I am working with among these various nations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE HELPING US DO:
In addition to bringing teams on short-term mission trips, we are developing crucial programs to help people in each region we visit.

When we travel internationally, we try to provide our international host communities with as many ways as we can to improve their lives, their businesses and careers, their physical, health, as well as ministering to their spiritual health.

Using the humble dandelion as a symbol for my mission, we strive to:
  • To be deep-rooted ourselves, so we can be able to bring resources and support up to those who struggle to get their own roots established.
  • To provide a source of joy, comfort, nourishing and restoration to those who desperately need to be lifted up and healed.
  • To be purposeful to use our “crown” to direct all refreshing flow to our root, to keep us strong and focused.
  • To spread the Word of Hope, to teach, inspire and edify those to whom we are sent to minister.
  • To inspire, train up and establish new “dandelions” in our stead, who will carry on this critical work themselves, thereby spreading the Word and Hope.
  • And when our season in a region has been completed, to be ready to be carried by the Spirit to the next location where we will repeat the same process, and there flourish also.
  • In effect, this is our Dandelion Mission calling:  Spread the Gospel, Plant Hope, Flourish Everywhere.

WE PROVIDE:

Education Forums – Evangelist Nicole leads Education Forums to introduce the options and help potential students discover the fantastic opportunities available to them to come to Canada to study, obtain a college diploma and sometimes even a university degree as well, and to work in Canada while they are here studying.

Her connection with St Clair College allows her to help students, assist them with their application and travel plans, and give them support when they arrive here, and her business and marketing training allows her to help them reach out to potential community sponsors so they can afford to go… all of this at no cost to the students.

“The Gainful Conference”- Career and Business Mentorship Conference – We have a HUGE goal to bring smart, talented, people who are successful in their occupation to the regions we visit, to share their incredible wisdom, lessons, insights, and even training that they have procured over the years. People don’t need to be the highest level executive to have something meaningful and helpful to offer someone else.

We are looking for people who have had success in their work life:
  • business owners, operators
  • professionals in construction, engineering, architecture, electrical, plumbing, automotive repair or design
  • business professionals of any type
  • medical, dental, optical, general health, nutrition and wellness professionals
  • mental health professionals, social services, women’s rights, children’s aid
  • music, sound engineering, lighting, performance professionals
  • covering topics like: advertising & marketing, accounting, finance, sales, human resources, staffing, etc.
  • and people in all the other types of professions.

People in these countries need most of the same services and products that we use. They have the skills and abilities to do tremendous things. Many of whom already do those things… but often are struggling to make it successful.

They are very smart and quick to learn, the problem has been that poverty has kept them from having access to the education and resources to do what they feel called to do.

We can come alongside them and provide training and mentorship to give them a leg up. That’s what good dandelions do. We bring the deep insights and benefits up to those who have shallower, weaker roots. That is how we are a blessing to others.

Food Banks – Hunger and poverty are horrible but frequent companions. Hunger causes pregnant mothers to have difficulty with their pregnancies, and can impact their baby. Hunger causes babies and children to be undernourished and develop more slowly. Their body reserves all the calories for their little brains and deprives the rest of their body of the fuel needed to grow bigger. Hunger causes school-aged children to struggle to focus and learn in class. Hunger causes teens to become desperate and act out to do anything to get some money for food. Hunger causes adults to make errors in judgement, make mistakes, make unhealthy or short-sighted decisions because of desperation. It makes doing the daily tasks, carrying out the daily work and their jobs a complete drudgery because it is just so incredibly hard!

Hunger weakens the immune system, burdens the body, increases the risk of developing health problems, and shortens the overall lifespan. It is really hard to have joy in your life when you are constantly hungry and tired and weak and discouraged.

This is no way for God’s children to live.

We have a goal to establish food banks at each of my partner churches and ministries across the regions we will be visiting this year. We have very high hopes but we are aware that these projects take time to establish.

With Ev. Nicole’s organizational, research, and marketing skillsets, and with our team of volunteers, along with very reliable and responsible partner churches and ministries, we have complete confidence that these will become a reality very soon.

Special Gifts – When we go we present special individuals in each country we visit with loving gifts sent/paid for by our supporters (Like the “Buy-One-Give-One prayer necklace”, the Sponsored Love Song from Canada to Africa, special support for individual churches/ministries etc.). Our church and ministry partners give us the list of people in their communities who are most in need and these are the ones we bless.

Thank you
By donating to this GoFundMe Campaign, you are helping to support and sustain our ministry so we can continue to go to and minister to these precious people… and can continue slowly developing these systems and structures to improve their individual lives, and their entire communities.

YOU BECOME ONE OF our 1015 PARTNERS  ©Nicole Barron 2015 !

Based on the scripture in Romans 10:15
” 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

You see, the “feet” carry the body wherever it is going. The feet don’t do the hands-on work once there, but they get the body to the place where they can work, and they stand strong the whole time, supporting the work. You, friends, carry us forward so we can work. You are the feet of this ministry. And so, whatever blessing we incur because of the work, you share in the same blessing. Our blessing is your blessing because you made our mission your mission and partnered with us.

Just as Paul said in Phillippians 1:7
” 7 just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. “

So, thank you. Thank you for your confidence in us and for your support and for helping us carry out this mission.

May the Lord overwhelm you with favour, blessing and answered prayers as you sow into this ministry and be favour, blessing and an answered prayer unto us.
